The Utiq team gets better and better! We’re a business all about people, but we also have great tech built of data minimsation and decentralisation prinicples. Great tech needs a great tech leader, and we’re now able to announce that Michail Piperakis has joined as our Chief Technology Officer.
With an MSc in Operational Research from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Mike joins Utiq form Vodafone where he led the Fintech Tech team (Charge-to-Bill, Content Enablement, Insurance & Financing) that delivered products & services across the Vodafone operator & partner footprint
Having also been the Tech Lead for the Utiq MVP at Vodafone, Mike has been present from the very beginning. Now in his role as CTO, he will collaborate with the team and partners to establish and scale the product, technology and platform.
Mike said, “I have enjoyed delivering greenfield products & services from inception throughout my career, and Utiq is exactly this – a first of it’s kind cross-telco collaboration, with a strong emphasis on people, privacy, and the open internet – I’m incredibly proud to be leading its development.”
Our CEO Marc Bresseel added, “We’re so lucky to have Mike on the team – he’s a billiant technologist, but more than that, he lives our values, our vision, our mission everyday. He’s also one of those rarest of CTO’s, in that he can communicate complex subjects, simply and to everybody.”
