Utiq strengthens Southern European team with appointment of Alvaro Guadalajara as Head of Ad Operations

Alvaro joins to  accelerate scaled deployment of Utiq’s Telco-powered identifier that leverages authentic, user-consented signals

Utiq has appointed Alvaro Guadalajara as Head of Ad Operations for Southern Europe. The appointment supports Utiq’s continued investment in regional capabilities, as the company scales across key European markets.

In his new role, Alvaro will lead the operational delivery of Utiq’s privacy-first, addressable identifier solution across web, mobile app, and CTV environments. He will work closely with brands, publishers, ad tech and other key partners to ensure seamless technical integration and execution. A key focus will be enabling customer activation, delivering frequency management, and cross-channel reporting that underpin Utiq’s value proposition.

Acting as a strategic bridge between product, engineering, and commercial teams, Alvaro will be responsible for ensuring Utiq’s technical implementation meets both performance and privacy standards at scale.

Alvaro brings over nine years of experience in the MarTech and AdTech ecosystem. Most recently, he was Head of Data at Smartclip Spain, where he defined the company’s data vision, developed audience-focused products, and led the activation of first-party data strategies. He previously held a senior role at Accenture Song (formerly Accenture Interactive) as Madtech & Innovation Manager, leading a team of over 90 professionals and delivering client transformation projects using technologies including Salesforce, Google, Adobe, and The Trade Desk.

Commenting on his appointment, Alvaro said:

“I joined Utiq because we are at a pivotal moment in digital advertising. As third-party cookies fade and user privacy expectations rise, the need for sustainable, privacy-first solutions is more urgent than ever. Utiq offers a unique proposition: a telco-powered identifier rooted in authentic, unambiguous consent, designed to respect the user while providing real business value. What attracted me most was Utiq’s ability to combine scale, privacy compliance, and technical robustness. The timing felt right — not only because of the market transition but because of the opportunity to be part of a company shaping the future of identity in advertising.”

Monica Rodríguez, Managing Director, Southern Europe, added:

“We’re thrilled to welcome Álvaro to the team! Having had the pleasure of working with him in the market as both a client and a partner, it’s truly an honour – and a personal joy – to now have such a valued person, professionally and above all personally, joining us on this journey.”
